Hill swoops late to grab all three points for Bude

Bude enjoyed their second 4-3 victory in a week as they beat Mevagissey at Broadclose park on Saturday. It was the visitors who took the lead in the 4th minute when Ben Bould rose highest to head home from a corner. The lead only lasted 5 minutes though as Ryan Leverton pounced on a clever free kick from Laurie Turpin and drove home from 12 yards. Martin Flynn then latched on to a Hayden White cross to put Bude ahead at the break 2-1. The second half started with controversy as Ryan Lavery converted a corner which looked to have gone out of play to make it 2-2 much to despair of the Bude Town defenders. Bude went ahead for the second time through Laurie Turpin who headed home Jack Oxley's pin point cross after good link up play in midfield. Bude were pegged back again though with seven minutes to go as substitute Bill Trugian poked home from close range after a scramble in the box. There was still time for more drama though as substitute Steven Hill showed good strength when running on to a Leverton through ball and with the last kick of the game drilled home from the edge of the box to seal a memorable victory.
