Harry Hopcroft's later strike wasn't enough as bottom side Bude Town made it back-to-back home defeats against Penzance at Broadclose Park.
The visitors took the lead just before half-time through Mark Vercesi's header and doubled their lead on 65 minutes when Paul Robertson finished off a tidy cross.
Hopcroft pulled one back with 15 minutes left with an excellent shot from the edge of the box, but the Seasiders failed to grab an equaliser as Penzance left North Cornwall with 3 points.
They now sit nine points off Illogan RBL who are the club directly above them, ahead of Saturday's home game against league leaders Ludgvan.
